Quick Start Tenor Guitar
Whether you're a complete beginner, or have moved across from the six string instrument, this course is for you.
Often confined to a dark corner of the guitar shop these beautiful musical curiosities could usher in your next musical adventure.
Whether you are a complete beginner, or have moved across form the six string instrument, this 10 lesson course is for you.
The course focusses on two areas of the Tenor Guitar’s rich personality:
Learning melodies and chords with an acute stylistic awareness.
Using phrasing and articulation to bring the music into focus.
A clear and thorough understanding of technique including sound production.
Using written notation as an easy reference point. This is made super simple even if you have always avoided written music.
Start off by having a look at the course introduction video, then get straight into the first lesson. There are more Tenor Guitar films in the Academy 'Tea Bar'. And, if you don’t yet own a Tenor Guitar, get yourself down to your favourite music shop and grab one (you’ll find them in a dark corner).

There is also plenty of time to pause the video for practising techniques which Richard encourages the student to do. I have just gone on to lesson two, and am really enjoying it, and my posture has greatly improved already. Love it! David.
